Marketing Security

By David Tonen • September 9th, 2008

Last week I spent four days in Washington, DC. I have always wanted to to visit the US capitol and this was my first visit. My wife and I had four perfect days of summer weather and thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring the city sights and several museums. For those of you who have been to DC you know that 4-days is not nearly enough to take it all in…especially if you are trying to to see all those museums!

One thing that really struck me was the extensive security presence throughout the city. There was strong visibility of police and special forces personnel everywhere. This is something we do not see to the same extent in Canada. That said, one would expect that of all places in the USA, that Washington would be the most secure. Now, some people might find the visibility of this security unnerving. I on the other hand found it especially assuring. We walked many miles around DC and we always felt safe and secure.

When it comes to marketing, many people feel unsafe and insecure. This is because they have had a bad marketing supplier experience, because they know someone who has, or because they are in unfamiliar territory when it comes to understanding marketing and the associated technology. If you can find a good marketing firm, then you will feel secure. An agency that is really good at marketing will put you at ease, exude confidence, and walk you through the marketing process with clarity and safety. If you are not at ease when talking to a marketing company then you should definitely look for a new service provider. A good marketing company will have your best interests in mind, will put your fears at rest, and always make you feel safe in moving forward with your company’s marketing initiatives. It is all about security. A good marketing provider will always protect your business interests. Feel safe or move on!
