Last night I had the opportunity to see Elton John live in concert here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Whether you are a fan or not, there is little disputing that he has had a very successful and distinguished career as a musician. Elton is an extremely talented singer, songwriter, pianist, and performer. Frankly, he does put on quite a show. He has so many hit songs over his almost 40-year career that even though he didn’t play them all, he still performed for a solid 3 hours without a break…you can’t ask for more than that in a live concert!
For us as small business owners, our goal is to strive for longevity. It is every one of our hopes that our business will thrive and survive for a long, long, time. The lesson we can take from Elton is to give our best… 100% all the time. Serve our customers with quality and integrity. Be in it for the long haul. Use our gifts and talents to serve unselfishly. I encourage you to perform at your peak and always be there for your customers…be a legend in your business and transform your customers into true fans. That is Rocket Man Marketing…I think its gonna be a long, long, time.
For the record, in case you haven’t guessed…by far Elton’s best song of the evening was Rocket Man…simply a brilliant performance!
