I took a short break from the definition process of What is Social Media Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 3.5 to keep thinking and researching for you. Because it is Saturday, I will leave you with some additional reading about what others are saying in their definitions of Social Media:

Chris Garrett defines New Media

John Jantsch at Duct Tape Marketing recently gave a brief snapshot Definition of Social Media. He has also said that if you’re not participating in Social Media, you’re not really online.

    Thanks Randy, I would welcome you to add any additions, or links to anything you post on your blog. I think this helps everyone focus in on what Social Media really is. So often we as marketers who are “into” Social Media tools, tend to forget that there are many out there that are new to it all and need a good introduction. I am hoping we can help in that process.
