Facebook is NOT Going Away

By David Tonen • March 14th, 2009

Love it or hate it, Facebook is not going away.  Daily, more and more people are signing up and are getting engaged with this social media.  The trends, I think, are that more people over 40 years of age are joining in on Facebook – the boomers are on social media.

For me, Facebook seems a little old hat but I think that is because I have been on it for two years.  Yet, it is just now that it is entering mass adoption.  So, with that in mind, churches (and the one I attend as well), need to start or re-think their Facebook strategy.  John at ChurchCrunch wrote a blog post called 5 Ways Your Church Can Maximize the Effectiveness of Facebook’s New ‘Pages“. Take a moment to read his post and then start strategizing…and don’t forget to implement!
