Differentiating Churches
Happy Canada Day!
I am actually not even in Canada today to celebrate our nation’s birthday. My wife and I are enjoying a beautiful summer vacation day in Seattle, Washington.
I had to write a post because of a powerful marketing observation.
Today, we visited Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market. There are tons of market stalls all selling fresh produce and food. Several places sell fresh seafood. One is jammed with people.
The Pikes Place Fish Market has made themselves stand out from all the rest. In fact I wonder how the others compete. They create an experience. They are unique. They sing and chant and throw their fish. They differentiate.
If a fish market can differentiate itself so significantly. How can we apply that to churches? When all churches seem “the same” what will you do to make your church unique?
Look for ways to differentiate yourself in your community so that when people “see” your church they notice that it is different, that there is something appealing about it.
