Churches: Admit You Have A Problem

By David Tonen • July 7th, 2009

For those of you who are regular readers of this blog you know how much I advocate for churches having a solid web site and for them to have one that is graphically clean and a professional representation of their organization, easy to navigate, and easily found online.

Mitch Joel at Six Pixels of Separation wrote a great blog post today that resonates these themes perfectly.  Since I am on vacation, I would encourage you to read Mitch’s post.  Then, encourage anyone you know who is a pastor or church leader to read Mitch’s post.

On Being Findable…

Step # 1 that Mitch suggests for organizations to start thinking differently about their web sites is:

“Admit you have a problem.”

Now…encourage all the church leaders you know to admit their churches have a problem.  Clearly, not every church has a web site problem.  However, from my experience, 75% of churches do.  It is time for a change.  Let’s endeavour to better!

What do you think? Do most churches have a web problem?
