Save Major Money on Your Next Hotel
Everyone likes to save money when they travel right? Hotels are becoming increasingly expensive. I want to share with you how I discovered a great way to save money on your next hotel…and still stay at an awesome place…
I learned about Priceline.com in June – I had “heard” about it but didn’t really understand (or trust) the whole bidding for hotels or travel thing. Then I read a blog post by Jason Powell, the Director of IT at Granger Community Church. Jason’s post was How I Use Priceline to Get Great Hotel Deals. My wife and I followed the directions he outlines in the “video” he recorded showing how he does it – step by step. It is all very legal and very easy! We got the 4-star Marriott in downtown Seattle in July for $85 a night when the regular rate was close to $200!
I just booked my hotel in San Diego for a November conference I am attending – I got the 4-star Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina downtown for $70.00 a night. It’s regular rate is around $120.
I have to say, I was skeptical but it really does work and you will save some major cash while staying at great hotels. Many people get even better deals at lesser star hotels. This process he maps out works very well for any major North American city.
If you are planning travel in the future, be a good steward of your cash and take 10 minutes ish and watch Jason’s video and follow the steps. You’ll be happy you did. Thanks for the guidance Jason – I owe you!!
Have you ever saved money through Priceline?
