Wouldn’t you like to be a better leader?
![]()
If you are a church leader, you are part of a high-stakes endeavour that is one of the most challenging and important things you could possibly be doing with your life.
As a result, the role you are in can wear you down spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally. You need to be recharged and re-calibrated – regularly. I get that rejuvenation each year through The Leadership Summit.
I wrote an article for Media Salt today where I share why I personally think every church leader should attend The Leadership Summit. So, wouldn’t you like to be a better leader?
A church leader just asked me today:
“So, you think it is worth spending $250.00 to attend this?”
Yes, I replied emphatically! I think it would be worth it to spend $500.00. Every church leader should attend this conference at least every second year…if not every year. Free up your schedule – you’ll be glad you did!
A Church Foursquare Focus Group
Foursquare is one of the newer social media platforms on the radar. It operates as a location-based service utilizing the GPS in your mobile phone. I conducted a Foursquare focus group over the past few months to test its application in a church setting. You can uncover my findings and consider how you too might use Foursquare in your church by reading my article at Media Salt…

Twitter: The Greatest Leadership Tool Ever Invented
Got your attention?
During an interview (below), which I discovered on a blog post of one of my new Twitter connections Don Miller (no, not the famous author), Michael Hyatt (CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers) says:
“I think Twitter is maybe the greatest leadership tool ever invented.”
Michael is an extremely busy leader who makes time in his daily schedule to blog and use Twitter. I know from personal experience that he uses Twitter as a conversation tool, not just a microphone. I have never met Michael, yet I follow him on Twitter and he follows me. I once sent him a personal, direct message and he did respond personally to me. Understand that he has over 78,000 followers! So, how does a leader use Twitter and why does Michael think it is the greatest leadership tool ever invented?
Take a couple minutes and watch the interview, You’ll learn the secret that made Twitter work for him and you’ll walk away with a whole new perspective on how to leverage social media as a Christian leader:
